Cheery Lynn Thinking of You

Today I'm sharing a card I made using new May Release dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I used two of the dies from the Royal Scandinavian A2 Card Facer set to cut the design into the card front.  The card face is backed with a light blue patterned paper from Prima.   I cut the Thinking of You Sentiment Square and glued a blue Pierced Square behind it.  The sentiment was covered in glitter glue for sparkle.

The flowers were made using the Cherry Blossom Branch die.  I cut it twice to double layer the flowers.  The one on the left is the complete flower and the one on the right is just a piece of a flower, the card seemed to require a little more yellow for visual balance.  They were colored with distress ink and I crinkled the edges by pinching them with my fingers and pulled the stamens up toward the center.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I hope you like the card, I had a lot of fun seeing the card evolve and change by double layering the flowers.  Make sure to check out our current challenge for a chance to win a $20 voucher to Cheery Lynn Designs!
