Cheery Lynn March Blog Hop Featuring IOE Embossing Folders & Plates

Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Hop! I am excited to show you one of the gorgeous new IOE embossing folders in action!   If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track.  If not, you can return to Cheery Lynn's blog HERE and start from the beginning.  Make sure to answer the questions on the Cheery Lynn Blog for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

For the base of this card I used the IOE Hula Flowers  folder.  It has a gorgeous central circle design with floral corner accents and a pretty and versatile border.  I used the corners and circle design.  If you use the coordinating IOE Circle Plates with the IOE folders you can pick and choose which design elements to add or isolate.  There are hundreds of options.  You can see more about these folders in the video HERE.

I embossed the main panel and then rubbed distress ink over the embossed areas with my finger. The card and floral arrangement evolved from my choice of design papers.  I distressed the edges of the papers with ink.  The Thank You Circle is backed with  patterned paper and popped up with foam tape. It's difficult to see in the photos but the central circle design creates a nice ring around the Thank You.

The Medium Tea Roses were cut three times to create the four roses.  I sprayed a yellow glimmer mist on them and rubbed the edges into a red ink pad.  The whispy red flower was created by stacking two dies from the Build a Flower #1 Set.  The red berries are from the Floral Bouquet Kit.  I colored the berries with distress ink and added a glaze to the berries.  Last I added netting under the Thank You Circle to add texture and glued cream-colored pearls and black rhinestones for extra interest.
