Cheery Lynn Happy Turkey Day

Hi friends!  Jenny here today with another new tag.  I had fun playing with a number of sprays.  The colors muddied a little but I liked the subdued look.  The darker background made it really quick to just gently add a little edge color to leaves from the Fall Leaves Set without coloring the entire leaf.  Leaving the leaves white really shows off the beautiful design on the leaves.

I've been having so much fun making tags lately.  Sometimes when I feel my mojo slipping I find that switching to another type of project and it somehow re-energizes me.  The last thing I did was add  orange string and twine, both give it a little more texture.

Cheery Lynn Let it Snow

Hello!  I'm back with a card using some Cheery Lynn dies from the latest release.  I just love this new Aspen Forest background die and I think it would be perfect for making quick but detailed Christmas cards.

As soon as I saw the new background I wanted to pair it with these deer.  I have a number of deer dies but the Fancy Deer Set is so fun with the whimsical pattern and antlers.  I used the same brown paper for the antlers, background layer and the back of the deer.  The bigger deer is popped up with foam tape for dimension.  Last I double layered the Let It Snow and then added glitter glue for sparkle.

Cheery Lynn Giving Thanks Blog Hop & Sale!

Hi friends! Welcome to the Cheery Lynn Giving Thanks Blog Hop. There are so many awesome projects in this hop, so make sure to click the links below to see them all.  Cheery Lynn Designs is also running a 15% off store wide sale now through September 22nd!  Make sure to stock up now on those wish-list items!

If you arrived from Debbie's blog you are on the right track. If not, you can return to Cheery Lynn's blog HERE and start from the beginning.

For this tag I used Cheery Lynn's new Acorns & Leaves die.  It's a great size.  It's a large size so cards and this tag didn't need much else.  Both the leaves and acorns are beautifully detailed and coloring them with distress inks really helped show off that detail.

I also colored the top of the tag with distress ink because my background paper didn't cover it all the way.  This Notes #1 die is new for me but I can see it quickly becoming one of my most-used dies.  It cuts beautifully and can be added to so many things.  I may need to find some good song lyrics to pair it with in the future.

Happy Halloween!

Hi friends!  I'm back today with a new Halloween card.  I've ignored the start of the school year (probably because I also have to return to work) and jumped straight to Halloween with my card making.  I love everything about Halloween time and I really enjoy spooky decorations.

This year I'm thinking about making candle jars using tissue paper and jars and Cheery Lynn Halloween die cuts.  Hopefully I'll have some to share with you soon if I can get what's in my head into an actual project.  In the meantime I've been card making.  I thought these Jack-o-Lanterns would be extra spooky done in black and I like the result.  It's difficult to see but the yellow-orange faces are actually quite sparkly.  I just glued paper sprayed with a glittery spray behind the Jacks.
